Parents V Juniors! The generation game!

On Monday, 13th April we held a parent/junior 9 hole competition. It was great to see 20 of our juniors, aged 8 to 16 playing alongside their grown up. We had two divisions, one where both the junior and adult had handicaps and the other where the juniors did not.

There was much friendly banter and competitiveness, all eager to win the lovely Easter eggs on offer! There was also a complimentary chip butty and soft drink provided to all the juniors, courtesy of part of the donation received from the Saltburn and Redcar freemasons.

The day began with cloudy skies but the sun soon broke through so the players enjoyed nine holes of golf in warm and sunny weather. This must have contributed to the fabulous scores which came in!

Piccolo and Paul Benoliel

Hunter and Paul Heathcock

Nick and Oscar Corker

Peter and Cole Fawcett

The non-handicap division was very close with Piccolo and her Grandad Paul winning the first prize, closely followed by runners up Hunter Heathcock with his Dad, Paul. The runaway winners of the handicapped division and taking the adult/junior shield was Oscar Corker and his Dad, Nick and the runners up were Cole Fawcett and his grandad, Peter.  I would like to thank everyone who took part, you all made the day a success. Let's do it all again on Thursday, 28th May, 2026!
