Course Care: September 2020

With the recent poor weather and a busy calendar, the course needs your help and TLC. Many members will have noticed more divots on the fairways and an increase in the number of pitch-marks on the greens; we really need the members’ help to keep the course in great shape, so we are asking for your support in adopting these simple steps: -

Divots - Replace your divots or fill your divot with divot mix (we are looking to reinstate divot bags as soon as possible until this time please replace your divots as best you can).

Pitch-marks – Make one, fix two. Divot tools are available in the shop or a simple tee peg can be used, a simple guide on how to fix a pitch-mark can be found here

Buggy use – As you can see from the pictures below, the use of buggies in poor weather can cause damage to the course; if you are using a buggy avoid steep slopes, standing water, and of course greens and tee boxes. There is a simple notice in every buggy with details of places to watch out for.

If we all follow these steps, this will allow the Green-staff to spend more time, effort, and resource on improvements to the course.
